Process

The Shoot
The live footage was shot during a gig at the amazing Theatre Royal in Castlemaine. I then cut it together with collected archival and other found footage of girls on bicycles. The whole thing was graded for an old scratched film look, with clutter and grain added in post.

Bicycles was selected to screen at the 2009 Melbourne International Film Festival, as well as the Portable Film Festival.
